Bozeman Car Care - Mobile Auto detailing

Are you interested in joining the team?

We offer highly flexible schedules - however - the position also requires attention to detail and dedication.
1.What are the key qualities expected from new hires?

Detailing can be complex—you'll work on everything from high-end vehicles to extreme messes. The following qualities are essential:

  • Strong customer interaction skills – Engage with clients in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Attention to detail – Deliver high-quality results by ensuring every aspect of the vehicle is properly cleaned.

  • Ability to follow training guidelines – Maintain consistency by applying the techniques and standards taught during training.

  • Patience – Some jobs require extra time and effort, especially on heavily soiled vehicles.

That said, the job itself is relaxed. Most of the time, you'll be able to listen to music or podcasts while working. Since it's a mobile detailing position, most of the work is done outdoors.

2. Is this a W-2 or 1099 position?

We offer both W-2 employee and 1099 independent contractor options. We can discuss which option works best for you based on your preference and qualifications. There will be a probation training period. The work is seasonal and details will be discussed further in person.

3. How much can I earn?

Pay is based on experience, efficiency, and hours worked. As a secondary position, expect an hourly wage plus 50% of the tips. If working independently, you’ll earn 45% of the total job price plus 100% of the tips. Further information will be discussed in person.

4. Do I need my own equipment?

No. All equipment and products will be provided by Bozeman Car Care and are included in the mobile detailing unit.

5. Do I need a driver's license?

It depends. A driver’s license is not required for a secondary position. However, if you plan to work independently in the future, a valid driver’s license will be required.

6. What are the work hours?

The schedule is flexible! You can choose to work full-time, part-time, or as needed. However, jobs are usually scheduled between 9am to 5pm. More details about the schedule will be provided in person.

7. Is there an opportunity for growth?

Yes. Since we offer a variety of services, advanced training in areas like paint correction, ceramic coating installation, and other high-end services increases your earning potential.

8. Do I need experience?

No. While there are many detailing businesses in town, we provide training based on the standards of the International Detailing Association, as well as techniques learned from multiple other detailing companies we’ve trained with, ensuring the highest quality of work.
